|

Hi all,
I'm currently helping a customer of my company in the process of
selecting a Requirements Management Tool. After long list/short list
selection, we've reduced our list to 6 tools that seem to fulfil our
basic requirements. However, I'm looking for experiences in the field
with these tools. Apart form general experiences on usability,
stability, bugs etc, I would like to hear your experiences on the
following subjects:
- Response times, resource demands for both workstation and server (if
any) components, not just what the vendor specifies, but what is
really needed to work.
- Import and export possibilities and restrictions to and from for
example Excel or other general formats.
- Possibilities for on-line reviewing and accept/deny changes to
requirements attributes.
- Possibilities to link requirements with processes, process steps
etc, both in graphical form and in textual form.
- Integration between Requirements Management Tools and other tools
like Use Case modelling, process modelling tools etc. Are integration
truly stable integrations or just glued together products gathered by
buying other companies/products?
- And finally, what changes would you like to have added to your tool
of choice in one of the next releases.
I'm looking for any information you can provide me with for the
following tools (please note that the order of the tools/companies is
random) :
- Telelogic DOORS
- Borland Caliber RM
- Serena RTM
- 3SL Cradle
- IRqA
- UGS Teamcenter
Needless to say that the information will be kept confidential. And
please feel free on commenting on this request in general.
Thanks for your help.
